On April 25, digitalCHURCH will open its doors for this year’s Girls’ Day. On this nationwide future day for girls, schoolgirls in 5th to 7th grade can get to know professional and academic subjects in which the proportion of women is below 40 percent. Under the motto “Computers & AI: How do we shape our future with technology?” seven different workshops on the topics of digitalization and technology, which are offered jointly by the student initiative IT4Kids and various Aachen-based companies.
Using concrete application examples, the girls will learn the basics of graphical programming in a fun way. Alongside other medium-sized companies, AMEPA is hosting its own workshop. Under the title “AI and how a machine recognizes faces”, our employee explains how AMEPA uses image processing to improve product quality! A colorful and creative program accompanies this exciting format. At the end of the day, all the girls will present their results to Lord Mayor Sibylle Keupen.
